The award winning weekly Bristol Farmers Market offers the opportunity to buy local produce direct from the producers. From local honey and cheese to newly harvested fruit and vegetables this market caters for all. Every Wednesday on Corn Street and Wine Street 9.30am - 2.30pm

St Nicholas Market is a great place to shop, whatever the time of year. The choice of goods, food, the historical architecture and quirky ambience all mix to make it this perfect place to shop, eat and find a special gift.

St Nicholas Market is divided into four areas, each with their own particular character, the permanent 6 day markets in the Exchange Hall, the Glass Arcade and the Covered Market, plus the weekly Farmers Market, Slow Market and **Nails Market ( clothes to handcrafted jewellery, original artwork and photography, music and handmade cards, all supplied by local independent traders ).

**Four flat topped pillars called the 'Nails' are still in Corn Street today. In times gone by Merchants would strike one of the Nails when a transaction was agreed giving rise to the expression 'to pay on the Nail'

The Exchange Hall has a variety of stalls selling clothes, candles, fossils, fair trade products, cards, stained glass and Bristol gifts and memorabilia.

The Glass Arcade has won a reputation for the high quality of its food outlets and cafes specialising in food from around the world. In 2005 it won a Metro newspaper Food and Drinks Award.

The Covered Market is an Aladdin's Cave with an eclectic selection of items on sale, from books, games, craft, wedding accessories to traditional sweets, mobile phones, pets supplies, ethnic clothing and even a resident tattooist!
